On Wednesday the 7th of November TONI&GUY relocated its long-standing flagship salon on Pitt Street to exclusive new premises on the corner of Park Street and Elizabeth Street. Level 1, 60 Park Street overlooks one of Sydney's most popular living landmarks, Hyde Park. Peering down from the salon windows you get the feeling you are in a funky observatory as you look out onto the busy city sidewalks and lush parkland.
Salon Owner and Art Director Stephen Parker opened TONI&GUY Balmain on Darling Street in 2004 after arriving in Sydney from the UK and working for TONI&GUY Pitt Street for several years. "Opening TONI&GUY in Balmain was a major achievement for me, with all the right staff in place in my existing salon and a solid reputation in the area, I feel totally confident in my decision to open the new Park Street salon” commented Stephen. "Park Street is the perfect location for the salon, surrounded by hip eateries, fashion outlets and entertainment venues, all contributing to a very cosmopolitan experience."
The salon interior is very sophisticated and has been specially designed to combine the traditional modern TONI&GUY style with some unique and personalised features. The space is large and open with wooden floors finished in a stunning japanese black and a glamorous designer feature light captures your attention as you enter the salon. Display areas made of glass look almost invisible, creating the illusion that the products are simply floating in the window - a very chic effect indeed!
Reclining lounge style chairs have been installed so you can unwind while being pampered with a relaxing head massage or deluxe treatment. If you require a more high energy experience, sit back and be inspired by the latest hair trends, fashion catwalks and photo shoots all captured on TONI&GUY.TV, delivered direct from London.
All your favourite stylists and technicians from the Pitt Street salon are now available to care for your hair at the Park Street location, offering the ultimate quality and experience to each client. TONI&GUY's focus is on constant education in order to deliver the highest quality service. Education is never compromised, and each fortnight the team attends ‘Art Team Training Sessions' at the Academy in Paddington. Training covers all aspects of the industry from the latest techniques in cuts and colours and product knowledge to photo shoots and session styling for magazine and film.
The salon has extended opening hours from 9.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Saturday which means you can squeeze in an appointment at 5.15pm after work. Or for more flexibility, TONI&GUY Park Street offer two late nights, opening untill 8.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
